Five Year Master Plan for LSA (SAC)

Does anyone know if future LSA construction/expansion include plans for the Screen Arts & Culture (SAC) dept?

I’ve read the published master plan from Oct 2017 (below), but it doesn’t have any details specific to SAC.

What I’m trying to find out:

  • Among the many programs within LSA, how committed is U-M to furthering the SAC program? (I know sciences will always be the main focus)
  • Does SAC have their own bldg/facilities? How old are they?

While waiting for an email response from the Screen Arts & Culture dept, I wanted to see if anyone here knew where I could find this info.

Got an answer from SAC.

SAC is located in the North Quad Bldg on central campus, a newer facility (2010) with 3 state of the art sound stages that also double as multi-camera production stages.

Without question, the most sophisticated production setup/equipment within a liberal arts setting in all of the Midwest.

There are no future plans for SAC expansion/construction.
