Has any Wellesley student done it or is currently doing the program? How is it? Are there choices on which majors are allowed through the program and what aren't? Im a prospective student (HS C/O 2012) and interested in computer science/ engineering (which I would be able to take at MIT through the program?)

I went to junior open campus yesterday and was completely blown away. Wellesley moved to my top school (shared with MIT.)

Thank you!

I know a current first year who is considering transferring out of Wellesley in order to do engineering. When I asked her about the dual MIT/ Wellesley degree she told me that one basically had to apply to MIT as a transfer student. This: [MIT-Wellesley Double-Degree Program](http://www.wellesley.edu/ClassDeans/MITDDinfo.html) & [MIT-Wellesley Double-Degree Program FAQ](http://www.wellesley.edu/ClassDeans/MITDDfaq.html) explains the process more clearly. There is also an engineering certificate offered through Olin.

Thank you for the info.

I’m not going to Wellesley with the MIT program as a “goal” just as an interesting thing to pursue.

Nobody has done the program in about 10 years, but I know a current sophomore who just got her acceptance. It’s true, you have to apply to MIT as a transfer student. Since it’s so rare, each student comes up with an individual plan for how they will handle the balance between Wellesley and MIT. (At least, as far as I know… I’m not the one applying to the program, but this is what my friend has told me.)
