Five years at Cooper Union

Does anyone know how the Intergrated Master´s Program of Cooper Union is?
Is it extremely hard ?

What major?

when i went to the accepted open house, i briefly talked with the dean of eng (im assuming you meant for eng) and she made it sound like if you go into cooper with a lot of AP credit, you can conceivablely get a masters in 4.5 years.

other than that, call cooper (i'm assuming youre a junior) and ask for a course catalog. i remember that there was some pretty detailed stuff abt combined master's program. i think it involves working on an independent project with a professor i think.

as for what major, i imagine it's possible with any of the engineering majors, but at least some of it is dependent upon faculty resources and what teh faculty in that major have specialized in, thus impacting the extent to which they can help you pursue yuor own interests

gluck!

Sorry for my unclear question. I am an international students, from Viet Nam, and I am intersted in the intergrated program in CU. I intend to learn Computer Engineering but I don't know how difficult it is and should an international student like me take that program ?
Thank you very much.

Computer Engineering stuff would be through the Electrical Engineering dept at Cooper, which is great. If you can transfer in a few credits, which you probably can being international, you can get both master's and bachelor's in four years if you work hard. I don't think the possibility is mentioned anywhere in the official literature and you probably wouldn't hear it from the dean (who is out of touch), but there's three people listed in the 2006 graduation program as simultaneously receiving both.

It might even be possible if you don't transfer in any credits and work very very hard, as in take 28 credits a semester as a few legendary students have done.

Thank you.
I think it is impossible for me to transfer credits from VN. So it will be much more hard to take this program.
I wonder why there are few schools have this program ? I know only Drexel and Cooper Union.

Does anyone know how hard it is to transfer into Cooper Union?
I am looking to apply as a xfer for fall 2007 and want to know if I have a chance. Right now I am in a CC in California, though I am originally from NY (don't know if they give priority). As a transfer who will have about 40-50 college credits by fall 2007, will Cooper Union still consider my high school GPA and SAT scores? How much do they weigh these in comparison to my College GPA. I have also taken 6 months off of college before, will this be factored in? My SAT scores are (old)SATI: 710math,670verbal , SATII: 700mathIIc,710physics,650writing. H.S gpa - 3.5 weighted. College gpa - 3.75
Do I have a chance? Should I retake the SAT's? Anything else I should do to increase my chances?

I am curious about what kinds of students can transfer to cooper union and their transfer policy
