Flagged report increased post count amount?

I had to flag a contextually inappropriate post reply made by another member. It had been an intuitively reached decision [as it had offensive terminology]. All the same, the dialog box froze after having clicked on the button needed to file the report. So, I wasn’t sure if it had been forwarded correctly… and yet it also added to my total post count. Can anyone clarify this or shed light upon it [if it is a new bug of some kind]?? Are flagged posts intended to add to the cumulative aggregate of all the formed content by each user???
