What happens when I flag and report a post? I’ve done that twice now and the whole thread has disappeared. Does a Moderator erase them somehow?
The reported post shows up in the moderators’ forum. One or more moderators will review the report and determine if any action should be taken. Yes, sometimes we delete an entire thread.

What types of threads get deleted (other than attacks on a particular poster, political etc.)?
IME, spam and advertising threads also get deleted.

Can you see if a post has already been flagged like you can see how many “likes” a post has? I was really tempted to flag a post tonight but I thought surely someone else must have already.
It is fine to flag a post even if someone else already has. There’s no way to tell if someone has.
