Flexibility/Ease of Engineering Curriculum?

<p>At the current moment in time, I want to major in engineering. While this might change, I'm just wondering if any current students could offer some insight on how easy it is to take courses you want, or if it's really all just math/science? I love my liberal arts, and I really want to at least minor in European or Art History, but I feel like when reading the course requirement, it's such an incredible emphasis on math and science that everything else is neglected. I know there's a theme requirement, but frankly, 7 courses really isn't much. </p>

<p>Also, is it possible to get a 4.0 and still have a life? Or if not, are there caps on A's in classes or massive grade deflation? I know engineering is intense, but I don't want it to kill me, and I want to get involved with sports, research, and activities.</p>
