Flexibility of Changing Schools?

I was curious to see if its easy to switch schools after you have gained admission into NYU?

I didn't do my research thoroughly, as NYU was a last minute application for me, and I really like the Gallatin school of individualized study. I'm an athletic recruit, but still in the top 25% of all applicants and I applied to CAS. I'm positive I'll be accepted...so I was wondering if I decide to go there I could switch to Gallatin, maybe re-apply or submit different essays? Is this possible?

You have to fill out an “internal transfer” application, but it shouldn’t be that hard to switch. Gallatin is particularly transfer friendly. You’ll be trapped in CAS for one academic year, but you can fulfill some classes for your concentration in that year. I would tell your advisor (when you arrive for the fall) that you want to go to Gallatin eventually, and they will help you choose the appropriate classes.

^ Awesome, thank you for the help!!!

Can you do an internal transfer midway through the year, meaning after your first semester of sophmore year?
