In general I don’t love business travel but I accept that occasional business travel is good. Unfortunately I fly out tomorrow AM and won’t be back till Friday night - last minute and unavoidable trip. Really wish I could be home for DS2 on M10. Good news or bad I’d like to be there. Guess I’ll just call it practice for all the other life events experienced from a distance should he attend BS.

My husband drove a friend’s wife to hospital at 2 AM for baby delivery as the father had to go on a job interview. Her mom was there so my husband left as soon as they were settled. The nurse asked ‘where are you going?’ LoL
I joked we should return the favor (?) when we have a baby.
Not as bad as missing the first child’s birth. 
Well, a dad’s perspective anyways.
Mom cannot miss it, so maybe a grand kid’s birth. lol
Come to think of it my mom flew thousands of miles to be at my kids’ births. :x
