Anyone ever heard or used Flocabulary (www.flocabulary.com)? I saw the idea on the Sparknotes website, and thought it was a pretty good idea. It is basically 12 catchy rap songs with SAT vocab words defined in the songs. I mean, how many songs do you think you know all the words too? Why not get SAT vocab in there, right?

Anyways, does anyone have an opinion on this? I think I will try them out, considering it is only like 12 bucks. Any opinions are welcomed.

I will order it tonight and tell you guys how it is. It comes with the song and the lyrics with the words defined.

Here is a sample "verse":

Im trying to live vividly, trying to stay intense,
I keep it stoic and serene, cause Im calm under stress,
Whats next? The sounds of my breath make rhymes seem sleeker,
A lyricist, an elocutionist, a public speaker,
We going long distance, rocking fortitude and strength,
Dont know the destination, but I know we go the length,
Dodging obstacles in our path, jumping over hurdles,
Linear and straightforward, never running in circles,
We evade those who chase us, theyre motionless like stasis,
Their semblance, their visages, and their faces,
Betray their trepidation and betray their dismay,
They fear and they worry because they dont know the way

Through sparknotes.com you can get two full downloads of songs for free! :) Just a heads up. I think it's amusing though most of the words aren't too difficult.

The disturbing thing is that verse is much better than 98% of today's rappers (Eminem is simply too good). A lot of rappers would sound better if they started introducing those words into those rhymes instead of just rapping about ho's, cash, and the dro-roll.

Yeah I was surprised that it actually sounded pretty good. I want to buy them and put them into my mp3 player, but it looks like they charge 2 bucks a song for an mp3 compared to 12 bucks for the actual cd. Doesnt make sense..

Yeah, i got the two demo songs and I listen to them with my mix of songs by professional rappers and I love them. I don't even listen to them for the SAT words, they are just good songs.
