Ok, so my story in short format is I did not take college seriously before and had a 1.38 GPA before finally going back to get things right last semester and get the education that I want. I made straight A's in 3 classes (9 credit hours) to raise my GPA to a 2.0, and thus graduation levels. This brings me to a total of 37 credit hours, and if I continue to make straight A's thru graduation (a big if but believe you and me I will give it my all to do), I can raise my GPA to about 2.7 by the end of the summer term next year.

Now, on to my question... do I have any chance at all of going to UNF or UCF, which are two of the schools that interest me the most? My major is in Criminal Justice, which is not a limited access major. I live in Gainesville, but am all too aware of UF's admission standards and will not even attempt to apply. I am really hopeful that a low cumulative GPA could be somewhat mitigated by an extremely strong performance to end my 2 year college career.

Finally, it is my understanding that getting an AA degree from a Florida CC ensures that they will transfer to one of the public state universities (not necessarily the one of their choosing). Is this correct? All I want is the opportunity to get a bachelor's and correct all the horrible mistakes I've made in the past.

Thank you all for your time.
