Florida Institute of Technology vs University of Florida

Are both of these schools good for engineering? I would do chemical engineering if I went to FIT and nuclear if I went to UF. I've heard really good things about FIT because it's literally 10 minutes from my house. I would love to go there because of how close it is and the small class sizes. Since I could live at home and only pay for tuition, FIT would cost about the same as UF because I would pay for food, dorm, and tuition there. (My parents aren't paying at all so price is a big deal) I did some research online and apparently everyone seems to love UF for engineering. My question- Is UF really that much of a better school than FIT? Or would I have an equal opportunity for a career at both universities?

Ok, same question but now I know I want to do chem engineering for both schools. Which would be better for that?

UF is by far the better school.
