Post all PSAT scores that either you or your friends got in this thread

I got a 228 last year and am a Semi-Finalist atm ;)

220 on the Wednesday Test.

Up from 206 as a sophomore last year!!

you guys got your scores, my school hasn't even mentioned them and we're going on winter break on wednesday. how did you find out? from school? or in the mail?

I got a 201. Some other people in my class got 203, 208 and a 220! I feel dumb. :-( One of my friends got an 80 in writing.

floridastudent- My school gave them out last Friday. You're school probably has them, but for whatever reason chose not to distribute them. Ask someone in guidance.

what's the cut off?

Last year for Florida it was a 216. I know because someone got a 215 and did not get in and someone with a 216 did get in from my school. It's usually between 214-216. Expect a 215-216 SI to be minimum for this year, I got in with a 228. :) Hoping to be a finalist and get the $2500, I'll buy a laptop probably (have to add about $1300 still).

last year it was 215

No, it wasn't the kid (Steven) had his score report at school the day after I showed him my Semi-Finalist letter and application. He clearly had a 215, I think I saw 215 on the list up there, but that's wrong.

calculus...last year, the cutoff was officially announced at 215, i dont care if one of your friends didnt make it, its not going to change the cutoff score, he probably didnt qualify cause his gpa was too low or something

Wow, kyzan.... You should do your research before you make statements like that -___- Commended/Semifinalist standing only depends on your PSAT score. Heck, you could have a 1.0 GPA, have no ECs, and be a juvenile delinquent and you'd still be a semifinalist if you hit the cutoff score... GPA/essay/SAT/stats only start to count for Finalist standing and for the scholarships.

As for the situation with Calculus' friend, I've no idea. Might be CB's mistake, might be a miscommunication with the school, the list goes on. It's sorta too late now to dispute the situation though =

bump...keep this going

I haven't gotten mine yet. Expect to get them on January 19
