I was recently viewing my Financial Aid Award and I noticed that UF did not take into account the fact that I had put 'Florida Prepaid' on my original application. I used the Additional Aid Reporting feature to change it so that it would show my tuition was paid for, but I'm wondering if I need some type of evidence beyond that, like something that wasn't provided on my application that shows I'm eligible for Florida Prepaid? Or will they just take my word for it and make all the changes?

Thanks in advance.

Similar situation here. I have Florida prepaid, but they had my “amount needed” including tuition and fees. I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

Florida Prepaid is not included in FA generally because those are your own funds. You don’t have to show them you’re “eligible”. You have it. That’s your money.

UF has direct communication with Florida Pre-paid…you don’t even have to show your card. If you wish NOT to use it at any time there will be a place on ISIS financial aid where you can opt out for that semester. Pre-paid is usually the last “funding” to be credited to your bill!

Does anyone know exactly what isn’t covered with Florida Pre-Paid? We have the tuition + fees plan and it was purchased in 2002 so we are exempt from paying any tuition differential.

I’ve just looked at the first tuition bill (Summer) and can’t figure out exactly what Florida Pre-Paid is not covering.

If I just add up the tuition fees - $1085( (7 credit hours) - not including any materials or distance learning fee - UF is still billing Florida Pre-Paid only $990. What is the extra $95 that I’m responsible for? Anyone know?

Thanks!

There are a few fees that are not covered by prepaid tuition and fees. I think one of them is the sports and recreation fee. There are a couple more. For 16 credits we had to pay about $200 for the total in extra fees.

I read somewhere that the prepaid does not pay it all even if you have the all inclusive plan. But in fall when the brightfutures kicks in, then you will have money left over:)
