My son got in:
In state: 3.95 UW/5.55 W
SAT: 1390
Got the freshman scholarship of $2400/year.
Gotta say, less than the freshman scholarships for UCF and USF. But the Honors college here is really well recognized, so yet another app.
Congrats to everyone who got in, and if you didn’t, it is certainly not the end of the world and you will find the right place for you. Keep your head high!
@totoro24 SAME! I have 33 ACT Perfect subject tests scores, a bunch of leadership, and I DO NOT SEE ANY scholarship at all?!
Should I call or email the school? help
It will be up soon, as decisions are 2/28? You should start one…
@Aprilllyy I would call FSU If I were you. Good luck!
@aprilllyy the requirements were a 4.0+ GPA so could that have affected your chances possibly? If not, they were suggesting to several people on twitter that you give them a call later tonight or tomorrow and an officer can go over the decision with you.
My son was accepted for Fall. 4.3 recalculated. 31 ACT. 11 APs. Big time ECs and service hours. Eagle Scout. In-state. Offered the freshman scholarship.
Congrats to all the future 'Noles! See you in November.
@Searching2020
No, I just got the OOS waiver. Can OOS applicants get both?
Also does anyone know when we will find out about acceptance to the Honors College after submitting the application?
I have a 32 ACT and 4.158 high school gpa, so I don’t think my stats are quite high enough to get in anyway, I was just wondering.
My daughter was accepted!
OOS - Calif
GPA 3.93 UW/4.3 W
ACT 28/SAT superscore 1320
Lots of regular EC - stu gov, volunteer, yearbook, 3 sports

No scholarship, guessing because of low test scores
@marsillygoat no I have 4.2 GPA (converted)/4.0
Could you send me a link of the people I could call u saw on twitter? Thank you
@Aprilllyy - this is what FSU Admissions on Twitter posted: “This year’s scholarship requirements were a 4.0+ GPA (with all A/B grades) along with a 1390+ SAT or 31+ ACT. Our GPA calculation may be different than yours. If you call 850.644.6200 our admission officers can look into your application. I recommend calling later tonight or tomorrow, as our phones are VERY busy right now.”
Decision: ACCEPTED (summer session June 22 - July 31)
Residency: OOS (MA)
GPA: 3.5
SAT: 1390
Major: Finance
Since you received the OOS Waiver you are eligible to fill out the application for the Honors College. You should definitely apply, it is a great program! I believe Honors acceptance notifications go out early March. As far as I know, last year was the first year that OOS students could no longer get the University Freshman Scholarship in addition to the OOS Waiver. It looks like they held to that this year as well. Bummer.
