I just finished my first quarter at the University of California, Davis. UCD does not have a nursing major, and although it was my dream school, I’m not sure if it’s right for me. I finished the quarter with either a 3.0 or 3.25, depending on one class that I still don’t have a final grade for. I plan on getting better grades for the rest of my time here. My first quarter was a difficult transition in the face of COVID. However, I think I’d like to finish my degree in nursing so I can hopefully get a full BSN when I graduate. My major is human develpment. I’m wondering if the FSU nursing program has a lot of transfer acceptances or if it is difficult to transfer in. Thank you!
FSU requires you to have a minimum overall GPA of 3.4 and science GPA of 3.0 when applying into the nursing program. Check out their info sheet here:
As far as overall competitiveness, their website states they typically receive around 300-400 applications per cycle for the BSN program, and admit 72 students (so 18% acceptance rate on the low end and 24% acceptance rate on the high end).
Also found this poking around - here are the BSN admission stats from fall of 2020.
