(my school is a public arts-magnet high school.. yeah it's weird).

SAT: (will be retaken very soon... and will score a lot higher... 1st time had some other issues that affected the test... it's all good...) 1730; Math 590, CR 540, Writing 610, Essay 10

EC's: 4 years marching band (3 years as Low Brass SL and Band Captain), 4 years winter drumline (3 years as percussion capt), 4 years various honor bands, 1 (maybe 2) years SW Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra, 2 years German Club, 2 years NHS. Next year I plan to join SGA and Interact Club for a Cancer Awareness LiveSTRONG project I'm working on.

Special stuffs: french horn player (not easy!), have also dedicated time to all of the brass family, piano, and guitar. Music audition shouldn't be too hard to pass.

I might apply to UF but I don't want to go there. UF is a great school but one thing they do not have over FSU is music. UM has a good music school as well... but I hate Miami.

Dude, FSU is OUTSTANDING for music. A friend on mine got her music degree there (basson), and she was immediately accepted into Julliard for grad school. Yeah, and I was impressed by the music facilities there. They aren't the greatest thing in the world to shake a stick at, but I have seen far far worse else where. You'll do great at FSU.

Yeah, I know they are. That's why I want to go there so bad. My next choice is UCF for other reasons, but their music DEPARTMENT doesn't even compare.

the school you go to....Florida Resident + DE classes + SW Florida Symphony +public arts-magnet high school= dreyfoos? that or some other school... ehh... wouldve been cool if someone else were reppin the PBC!!

Oh, no sorry-- Isn't Dreyfoos on the East coast of Florida?

I'm on the west coast... my school isn't prestigious or anything. The district grew so much that a few years ago they needed to designate one of the schools as an arts school and ours was the best candidate. It's sweet though, we have a great band program.
