Florida Transfer questions

Quick background: I'm 20 and in my thrid year of college at FIU. I've been a South Florida resident my entire life and want to expierience life away from home; to move on with my life.

I'll have 60 credits by the time I eventually do transfer, so I will be classified as a junior whenever my apps. go out.

My question is based off of which school's in the state of Florida, that are STATE schools, would I have the best chance to get into.

3.29 GPA (will likely be even higer by end of fall 2009)

Criminology major

I realize that UF is about a 0% chance, but how would schools such as FSU, UCF, USF, etc. look in regards to possibly accepting me for either Spring 2010 or Summer 2010?

Thanks for any help that can be provided.

p.s. I'd prefer to go to FSU out of the schools listed. If it looks like I fall short somewhere, and anyone is familiar with how FSU weighs their decision, I'd truly appreciate your input.

If you show a steady trend of improvement and a rigorous course load you will have a better shot. FSU is not that difficult to get into. Also you will probably need to display to them that you can bring something more to the campus than just a body. What can you do for them?

you will likely be accepted to FSU…as was I

I transferred from fiu to uf last semester with a 3.76 though

higher your gpa as high as you can is all i can recommend, extracurriculars are irrelevant in the transfer process.

IF you meet all MIN. pre-req requirements you will be asked to write an essay regarding WHY you want to transfer.

Thank you both for your replies.
