Has anyone here taken AP Art History on FLVS?
If so, could you please tell me if it prepared you adequately for the exam?

bump please anybody....

I took AP Art History at FLVS with Mr. Reeves two years ago; scored a 4.

I thought he did a fantastic job of preparation, especially towards the end of the course where he predicted the essay questions and gave us more than adequate review materials. The phone conversations really help to drill in the information and train you to answer spontaneously, and if you follow his advice and study appropriately with the binder you'll do very well.

I do recommend that you pick up a regular art history text book beyond what he has online, it helps to get it from two sources. You can probably find a used copy online for maybe $30. Don't worry about getting a new copy, Gothic Architecture hasn't changed too much in the past 100 years :P I used my mom's old art history texts from college in addition to the online resources.

Is this FLVS only available for Florida residents? I hate Texas :(

It's available to anyone, even international students. However, it will cost you a ton of money because you're out-of-state. I think their AP classes to non-Florida residents cost $800 :D .

Hmm, I've taken AP Art in school, but I've had success so far with AP at FLVS, with my AP Macro teacher REALLY preparing me and my AP Gov teacher being a nice asset. I wish you the best of luck and think you should go for it. The Annotated Mona Lisa is a great asset if you can find it. Concise.
