<p>PH is filled w/ premeds who are not hardcore enough for MCB. Semi-fluff I would say… MCB sucks though so I don’t blame them.</p>
<p>and the med school admissions system gives WAY too little consideration to grade deflation or the rigor of the major attempted - thus a public health student with a 3.7 GPA will almost always be picked over an MCB applicant with a 3.3, unless MCAT scores or other factors are extraordinarily strong. Get a near perfect MCAT and have substantial volunteer work, for example.</p>
