<p>@mtpynest - Oberlin hasn’t actually been looking for Debost’s replacement for a full year… when we contacted him in early Oct 2010 for a lesson, he told us he’d be retiring, but he hadn’t formally announced it yet to the school. </p>

<p>It’s interesting that you were told in early March that an offer had been made and declined. Because I think there was also an offer pending as of early April, and I think that has fallen thru (thus the extension).</p>
<p>If they’re still talking with Bonita Boyd, I really can’t imagine her doing the Rochester-Oberlin commute for an extended period of time. I sure couldn’t do it!</p>
<p>My d will make her final decision in the next few days. She was out of the country for the past 10 days so everything was on hold.</p>
