Okay, so I called FLVS 2 weeks ago asking why I still havn't gotten my class. They said it was because I just graduated freshmen year and that I should get it in a week or 2. Today is the 2nd week, and I still don't have the class (only assigns classes on Mondays). The thing that really makes me mad is that I signed up for this class 16 weeks ago!!!! I can understand if I signed up in May, but I was one of the 1st people to apply for the class and I still don't get it!! People in their junior or senior years are taking the class to get the credit and to boost their rank, while I planned this class out because I'm actually interested in it (AP Art History). My question is is FLVS always this frustrating?

What month did you want to start?

I've never had many problems with FLVS. One time I accidently backed out of a test and I thought I would be locked out, but I just hit the forward button in my browser, and I was able to get back in and submit it. haha

what is FLVS?

FLVS = Florida Virtual School.

I asked for June. That's what's so frustrating about it!!

They usually don't let you start AP classes in June, from what I've seen...which is really odd...And usually when you start at a certain month it's usually the beginning or sometime around the 15th. Chances are they've postponed yours till July.

lol. How do you know Juniors or Seniors are doing it to boast their rank?

I don't lol, but I mean I signed up as soon as I could so I could take this class. Even though I'm not a good artist, I think art is really interesting. The fact that I know people in the class right now and it's been 4 months since I've signed up is frustrating :(

lol...dunno maybe your form slipped through the cracks...I never had any problems getting into FLVS classes.

I requested Personal Fitness back in May and I haven't gotten it yet. It might be a popular class to take online therefore fills quickly?

I requested AP Art History in March....

Just keep on calling them. That's what I did.

Flavor Flav?

They placed me in a Personal Fitness class today, and then pretty much said you better call for the welcome call some time in the next 3 days if you expect to start any time soon. And then they said the soonest you're allowed to finish the class is 2 months :-/

Can anyone speak from personal experience what the class is like? Is it just filling in times and claiming you actually went outside and ran a mile :P

I took Personal Fitness on FLVS.

All you do is exercises, learn about nutrition, and all that good stuff. All you have to do is have your parent sign a paper saying that you actually exercised. lol My mom didn't really care if I worked out - she just signed where I told her to.

Nice, how long did it take you to finish it and how often did you work on the course?

just call them and dont hang up until you're in teh course

i took algebra II online freshman year and i got into the class in a couple of weeks......i request physics on flvs right now which i requested in november and started in february.....but its worth it the classes r cake...EXTREMELY EASY

I agree, I'm taking Alg II right now. It's a breeze.

I did PF on FLVS. It was alright. The workours weren't horrible and trust me, you actually feel better after working out (I never thought I would say that). It is wayyyy more work than just doing the class at school, but it is worth it if you want to be taking other classes at school. I mostly did mine Sunday afternoons (excluding workouts). I just popped in my Gilmore Girls DVD and started exercising =). My teacher was really nice though. And it is sooo easy to get an A.

Armando do u have Mrs. Rosen she was so nice......during the summer i fell way behind pace and i took my final a month after i was suppose to but she didn't get mad or anything.....my freind did the same in another class on flvs but his teacher sent his mom angry messages and threatened to drop him from the course :(
