Flying Back from Christmas Vacation

I'm trying to plan out transportation home on the coming holidays and I was wondering what day I should fly back to UCI from home for Christmas vacation? General instruction starts on January 5th, but there's also academic advising on the days before. Do I need to be at school for anything before classes start? Any current students have any input?

Good question, I need to know too

Why would there be academic advising a few days before winter quarter starts? It's not like the beginning of the year. I've never heard of that before.

It says there's an academic advising before the winter quarter on the calendar. This is only for students entering winter quarter.

WOW thanks for starting this thread. I totally read the calendar wrong and I thought classes started on Jan. 3rd because it says the quarter starts on that day.

anyway the academic advising isn't for continuing students

Since Fall ends on Dec 8, Winter begins Jan. 3,
anyone knows if the students be allowed to live in the Middle Earth between the
quarter breaks,
or will the dorm be closed on the day when quarter ends and open in the begin of next quarter?

Mesa Court and Middle Earth are closed during Christmas break. AV and CV are open though.

ME and MC are closed on christmas break, thanksgiving and spring break the dorms are open but the dining halls will be closed, since winter quarter starts on friday the 5th, u can come back on the 4th... also, buy ur tickets early

closed on christmas break? what the heo, what if i have a job to go to

Heh, I haven't heard that play on a Viet word in a while.

Thanks asianpanda, that's what I needed to know.
