Fml, please help!

I took Biology E, Math IIC and Chinese today.
My previous scores for Bio M and Math II were 780 and I decided to retake them since I already registered beforehand. This time I think I did better than 780s, but I know I did dismally on Chinese, like getting 20 plus wrong. Should I cancel all three scores? How much can a 5xx hurt me in colleges like UC/Stanford when they saw they only consider your "top" scores?
Thanks everyone

Retaking a 780…

/facepalm

I’m not familiar with the language tests but I’ve heard (especially for the Chinese) that the curve is very generous

A 5XX is going to hurt* your scores alot (compared to 780s and 800s)

And considering a 780 –> 800 is like not a big deal (to most people lol)
U should cancel imo

Although they consider Top scores… they still see the 5xx

I thought you could specifically choose which subject tests to send since they are not required( Stanford)? Only all the SAT Is have to be sent.

The curve is not very generous at all for Chinese. On most practice tests, you can miss 3 or so to get an 800. The only reason the percentile of 800 is so low (57) is native speakers flooding the test.

Thanks for the responses guys but I didn’t cancel my scores and I’m really grateful I didn’t because my Chinese turned out to be a 760 haha. It’s either the curves for languages tests are very nice or I lucked out, anyhow that’s a 26th percentile.
Oh, and for UCs, since they’re using a points system always go for a 800 because the higher your score are the more points you get, just my opinion.

760 is the 26th percentile. Dude…

^ What are you saying?

I mean that even though a 760 seems like a pretty high score, its only the 26th percentile for Chinese.

^Ah. But it will still probably be looked favorably upon adcoms if OP is not a native speaker.
