Is it better to focus on one thing, or mention all of the crap that has impacted your life. (work, experiences, passions, talents, etc....) There are just too many to smash them all together in one essay for me. That's why I ask. Some people are like jacks of all trades, and some have experienced many things that have changed their life. You know what I mean?

It depends on the prompt you have to respond to, but generically, it’s probably best to focus on one activity in your application and save the others for the EC’s section.

For the essay, pick the most unique activity you have, to make yourself stand out among the other people applying. Everyone’ll be writing about cross country/math club/etc., so pick something less mainstream that no one else would think to write about.

EDIT: looks like you killed your own thread =/

Yea I killed it momentarily. It’s back up though.

Choose a theme and than weave the things you want into it.
