anyone else have this under "Admissions Documents Received"?

everyone does?

it's when they pull your folder and have the committee read your application?

dur? =P

haha, someone in one of these threads pasted all of their listings under app docs received, and they didnt have it, which is why i was asking.

i do its like march 9th for me?? and the last thing on the line of stuff

I don't have it...

yeah see? i dont know, their whole online system of stuff seems like a total mess.

i think we want to call it a mess becuase we're all just about freaking out about decisions.. they mailed me out on wednsday thus, i should have it today, i plan on ambushing the mailman in a couple hours...

haha, it is a mess... everyone coming up with these conspiracy theories, completely contradictory information via telephone calls, trying to accuse cmu of having a method to their waves of decisions... mine should be coming in the mail too. boom.

its quite funny actually.. the blank line, the csm (sp?) calls, the "IN" magazines.. we are way overthinking this.. lol

Okay, what if we all got into Carnegie Mellon, and all went, and then all kept being crazy conspiracy theorists once we get there.

I can see it now:

"How come all of the good students student IDs are prime numbers. I want my ID to be a prime number too. I called the school about it and also asked about it but they keep denying the practice and claim that student IDs are generated randomly. Of course they'd deny the practice... How can they deny such a horrible practice? I bet this is their rude way of telling us that they're going to destroy us all OMG ITS THE END OF THE WORLD PEOPLE!"

I think it's funny that the CMU board has like a conspiracy theory of the week. I can only imagine that the CMU student body comes up with a conspiracy theory every week. That would be hilarious...

Yeah...I don't have it either...

hold on.. i need to grab my ti-89 and figure out of i'm prime...

wait nvm, i don't need an 89, i'm not prime XD

ti-89s rule. i pity those who stick with ti-84s.

^^ so true, i don't remember how to chain rule anymore in calculus, becuase i just take my 89 and intergral it..

i think the decisions are far apart due to the differences of when the applications are read by the committee.

despite that, i think cmu admissions is a little messed up because i have a friend who applied to cmu ED and STILL didn't get a decision yet (EDs get their 1st decisions in december)

there is a new Ti, called the Ti-Nspire

some teachers at my school don't allow the use of ti-89s. sad.

ya in precalc i wasn't allowed to use my 89.. but i can on calc ab and bc

i haven't been allowed until this year. I don't rely on it for the chain rule, but I always use it to check my answers if I can. It made the SATs a breeze and APs will presumably be easier. people are just intimidated by the different interface.

the ti-nspire has some neat features but looks like it has too many buttons...

i have yet to see the nspire
