I keep hearing about people who are getting emailed by colleges saying how great they were at auditions and how they will "definitely keep in touch". I haven't gotten any kind of response like this for any of my schools. Is this a usual thing that goes along with an acceptance? Is it bad that not one school contacted me afterwards?

NO!!! Don’t let this get to you. It is actually more unusual for schools to contact auditionees after the audition than not. A few people may get something, but it is not the norm. My D is now a junior in a BFA program, but when she auditioned, we knew one girl who got such an e-mail and then was turned down by that program. Once again, don’t read anything into the fact that you have not been contacted. You also have to remember that of all the people who auditioned for MT programs this year, a very small percentage actually post here. You are not really getting a representative picture of the whole audition picture from what you read here. So absolutely do not be discouraged by not having received any e-mails. Good luck!!!

I have gotten a couple of these but they mostly seem like mass messages. I wouldn’t worry! What schools have people received them from?

Do not be concerned - this is not generally something to worry about. Hope all goes well for you.
