Following up with a letter after an interview

Is an email ok, or should it be typed and mailed? For some reason I feel better sending an email, but I think mailing a letter is the "correct" form of communication in a situation like this. Any advice? Thanks!

My daughter usually sent a hand written thank-you note.

I dunno about you guys, but I love getting personal mail the old fashioned way. It's a lot more personal than email, I guess.

So..yeah, I think you should send a handwritten thank you note/ card.

handwritten thank you note/card is the best.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I never thought about a handwritten note since I thought it should be more along the lines of a business letter (for the Hotel School Interview...it is a more "formal"/evaluative interview instead of just an informal/informational interview. Don't you think in that case a typed business letter would be more appropriate? Thanks again!

Hm..I dont think so. People in business always write (handwritten) thank you cards.

Just don't write it on binder paper. Buy a thank you card (or make one if you're feeling creative =D).
