Food at JHU?

According to "The Daily Meal" JHU ranks among the top 50 schools for food. Apparently they "offer the best quality possible" with hand-cut french fries, Boar’s Head brand meats, and whatnot. Can anybody vouch for this? And if so, how much does a typical meal at JHU cost?

Yea in charmar there is a Boar’s Head sub place. Also, next to other schools, the food is definitely really good

I had a terrible experience with dining. Its good if you dont have any dietary restrictions (veg/vegan). They had something labeled “vegan” when it clearly had cheese on it. The worst part is it looked like some people had already eaten from it. And forget it if you need to go gluten-free. But other than that, for normal SAD dieters its satisfactory.

dude the food sucks here. like actually.

It doesn’t suck, it just gets boring at the FFC. But yeah, I’m really not seeing the Freshman 15 going around much at all.

Is food overpriced at JHU?

this is what a current student said:
I agree with the fact that the housing and food are way overpriced, and the variety could be better. But it is better than what it used to be and you do get a lot of food for the over priced ness. Sorry not a word lol. I don’t know what CharMar sandwich you’re talking about but if you mean Boar’s Head subs, then I disagree because those sandwiches are amazing and you get the 6 inch, a bag of chips (not the 25 cent kind) and a can soda for five bucks, which is very very decent. If you live in Homewood or Bradford or off campus, you don’t even need the meal plan and you can take the shuttle to safeway or giant supermarket and buy your own food, maybe set aside 100 bucks a month for groceries, and make your own food. You save thousands that way!

their food tastes like feet.

The food in the school itself is all right, if you count for the fact that you can’t avoid a meal plan either way the first two year.

The food around… that’s another story.
