FOOD at UCLA

kfc4u: The omelettes are AMAZING! When I attended UCLA in the summer, I had that everyday for breakfast. Bacon, mushroom, and onions...mmmmmmm.

That's one thing I'm going to miss when I decide to go to Berkeley.

My omelet: ham, mushrooms.
My ranking of eateries (among those I've eaten at): Puzzles, Bruin Cafe, Rieber, De Neve, Covel.

please tell me that list is in ascending order lol

I ate at De Neve today for the Welcome Day and I thought it was overall pretty good. I didn't like the pasta, but the other food was great.

Nope, the ranking was in descending order. Puzzles dominates.
Don't knock Bruin Cafe either. 1100 calories a sandwich, baby! :)

phwch, pasta at de neve usually isn't as good... sometimes they have good spaghetti though. i think pasta at covel is much better.

BUMP!
Let’s discuss it, since I want to know what I’ll be eating come fall…

Wow necro. Anyway, I’ve found that Puzzles is both great and a bit disgusting at the same time. Of course I’m not a current student, so I don’t eat the food there very often (except for pizza at North Campus).

the food at ucla > food at usc.

my friend at usc has actually lost weight because she hates the food there so much. the food at ucla is fantastic. i’ve been to both and i would choose ucla anyday

lmao wow old thread bumped up… i was reading it and it got weird when it went to puzzles lol (burger?) and crossroads (doesn’t exist anymore)

thiscouldbeheaven, what do you get at puzzles? everything seems pretty disgusting to me these days… and i always felt like going there since sproul is so close to it but then i don’t know what to get at all…

@qwerasdf

We’re not on the points system because our food tastes good.

Usually I get a hot dog and curly fries from Puzzles.

The best food place at UCLA used to be the Coop pizza. Sadly it’s gone. :/

hmm i actually never tried the hot dogs there lol maybe cause they are always in dining halls…

seeing as how next week is when all the potential honors kids come and visit ucla, the food will be PHENOMENAL…but it’s usually very good (i especially like covel)

sorry, but this is really stupid… how do drinks and soda work?

I’m basically addicted to soda and crap, I could down so many, I don’t know how I haven’t fried my brain yet, but honestly, how do they work.

There are soda drink fountains in the dining halls. Just grab a cup and have at it :D

When the younger students (elementary and junior high) come to the dining hall, it is interesting … two huge crowds (like 20-50) gather around the pizza and hamburger line. Even if they had lobster, abalone, and shark fin, they would still get pizza and hamburgers

Some little kids come in and go the ice cream machine first thing. haha

wow we can get lobsters and shark fin? At which dining hall?

…

cmon now think straight.

I think the best thing about the dining halls are the juice dispensers. All you can drink apple and cranberry juice? hell yes
