<p>my daughter is a food science major in grad school. Everyone she talks with loves their job. It has a lot of different areas like food safety, product development, etc. Sounds like a masters is preferred and a doctorate without experience is overkill.</p>

<p>At a BS degree level, you will probably get a wide variety of choices after you graduate. You can do Industry, Research, Government etc. With an M.S. your choices are even wider as you will be more qualified for certain things.</p>
