I do not think any West Point parent is interested in participating in the hysterical lunacy currently found on the Naval Academy forum. Life is not perfect at West Point. However, the imperfections are not meant to be a topic of discussion on a public forum. Our cadets deal with problems through the chain of command. Life can be tough at West Point…but it is not for the parents to second guess the policies of the administration. The Cadets, like Midshipmen, are members of the military. Our children are being trained as soldiers while receiving a first rate education. The world they must deal with as officers upon graduation is brutal and dangerous. The rigors they face now will help them cope with and adjust to the life they soon face in the military. Isn’t that the purpose of each of the Academies?
