I hope the food at UofR is good. I heard it's not too great though, and campusdirt.com also states that. I definetely know that their open house food wasn't overly impressive. Out of the 4 colleges I've eaten at, their food was by far the worst (but then again, with one of those being cornell, can't really use as a fair benchmark o.O) I'm not usually a picky eater, but I've been eating healthy for about 18 years. I was expecting to go a little, erm, "unhealthy" for college. The freshman 15 is ok for me though, as my doctor said that gaining some more weight will be good for me ^__^. I just want some good food hehe. If not, I guess there are always restraunts to go to from time to time off campus, but that takes cash. UofR is draining enough out of most of us financially enough as it is. Oh well, going out (and into the city) is good from time to time anyways, I am sure...

Well here's the thing: Campusdirt sucks, i strongly urge that you do not use it to get a "feel" for any college, because for most of the stuff I've seen on there - it is way off.

Food at UR is a little weird. They have good stuff occasionally, but yes, the majority I heard isnt that great. Many upperclassmen tell me that the first year or so you will enjoy it, it wont be that bad, but after a while you will start to grow accustomed to the same pattern of food and by your 3rd year you will start to actually see how bad it really is :)

But trust me, URs food is better than many other colleges if not the same as many others..haha and yeah there are many colleges that do have great food, Cornell , Temple, Pton

There are also a lot of cool/cheap restaurants within a close vicinity (a 10 minute walk) or in town (quick bus ride on the free bus system at UR). The distillery, a bunch of other restaurants are good options that many of the "sickened" upperclassmen eat at.

i think im in pretty deep, i spent the summer at cornell and i didnt think it was particularly good--so from that perspective...garbage plate anyone?

One word- Aramark
