Football 2011

How do incoming freshman get tickets for the 2011 football season? Are the tickets free for students? Is there some sort of lottery that we have to enter this summer, or are students guaranteed tickets? FSU has the #1 recruiting team this year, so this season should be a exciting one! I can't wait!

I enjoy the early enthusiasm for the 2011 Football season, however tickets are usually sold in advance free for students a week or so before the actual game. They do this, so they see if they need a lottery or not, depending on the demand for the tickets. I have been here for two seasons, and a lottery has not been needed for any of those games. However, get your tickets EARLY for the event you wish to attend. IE, hop on the OU and Miami home games as soon as they are available. Everything is done online.

Would not surprise me at all if the Oklahoma Game requires a lottery, and after we win that one, the Miami game. If you become a Seminole Student Booster, you can configure your account to automatically send you your tickets without even having to register for the lottery. Not sure if they will do it again in 2011, but it was a nice convenience this year.

Thanks for the info guys. Hopefully a lottery won’t be necessary, but considering the fact that we’re going to kick everybody’s ass this year, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the games require one.
Matt, how can I become a Seminole Student Booster? And what exactly is that? lol

Well worth the money ($25 a year/discount if 4 years paid at once/with free T-shirt each year also) for guaranteed student seats.

There are tables set up on campus to join during orientation, preview, and during the first week of classes as well. Or you can do online.

thanks for the info. I’m going to join during orientation next month.

Matt, although i have faith in the Noles’ we won’t be on our topgame against OU. Sadly, we play two highschool teams before OU. Would have preferred a team like UNC or another somewhat decent ACC team to stomp on before going to OU.
