Football and Baseball...with no experience!

I'm hoping to get into Harvard next year. I was wondering what my chances were of walking-on to either the college football or baseball team. I consider myself highly athletic and have played rugby and cricket to very high levels so was thinking I could have the skill-set to try football or baseball. What would one's chances be with no prior experience at either sport?

I'm pretty sure anyone can walk onto the football team. I don't know about baseball, though.

Either way, it wouldn't be a bad idea to contact the coaches to find out.

If you are very big, very muscular, athletically talented, and very fast, they can probably find room for you somewhere on the football team - a lineman or something. But baseball is much more of a skill sport. It might be hard to quickly translate cricket skills to baseball - just as it would be hard for a baseball player to jump right into cricket.
