GROUP SEATING: To sit with other students, you must create or join an online seating group. Groups cannot be created until applications are live on March 18 at 9:00 a.m. Group seating locations will be assigned based on the lowest priority student in the group. Organize your group before ordering your ticket. Appoint one person to be the group leader, who will create the group name and password and send the information to other students. Group names must contain letters and numbers only, no special characters such as & ^ % $ #.

Is this legitimately enforced? Or can you sit wherever (based on your credit hours)? I only know a few people going to Michigan and don't really want to be put in a group with them. I would want to hopefully sit with new people I meet..

Also, how hard is it for a freshman to get season tickets??

No you don’t have to do group seating. You can sit by yourself if you want. It’s more fun to be with people though. Also, you don’t have to sit where your tickets are, but you won’t be able to move up much. You might be able to squeeze into a better row, but don’t expect to get much further than row 50-60 or so. Honestly, IMO, every seat is a good seat…for the most part.

IMHO, anything higher than row 60 is not worth it. You can barely see the ball from that point.

The event staff do check tickets periodically throughout the game to keep people in order in the student section (but not other sections from my experience).
