<p>i wanted to post on college confidential about my chances to get into harvard. im a solid athlete and a good tight end, and an OK student, heres my record. post if you need more stuff. i want to go to harvard cuz of the awesome education but other schools would be ok like stanford and yale. i know that getting in is hard but i think that since im black ill have a little bit better chance. the recruiting can't hurt either. </p>

600 reading 590 math 550 writing sat
important courses are AP enviornmental science last year, i got a 3 on the exam
also taking ap stat this year and expect a 2-3 (i blow at math)</p>
<p>athletic stuff:</p>
<p>varsity since sophomore year for football
6 touchdowns, 900 yds for football
started tight end
co-captain junior and senior
and i know that my coach like loves me and will help me a lot with the recruiter</p>
<p>other stuff:
kinda poor, ghetto side of chicago, will this help me get in?
helped out once at a church lunch
spoke for a minute once at the model united nations thing for my school, i joined this year and gave a short little speech about ending war and poverty and helping other countries</p>
<p>so can i get in? coach really thinks i can. i know that harvards like the best of the best
and i can pretty much go anywhere from there, i don't think i'll make the nfl so i need a good education. my friends told me that being black would actually help me not hurt me, and with this whole affirmative action thing i think my chances can be better.</p>
