Football Ticket Week

The freshman sale was a breeze. Logged on at 8:00 got right in and purchased the ticket.

We got our freshmen tickets, but we were stuck in that “waiting” holding pattern for about five minutes, as was our neighbor who was also trying for her child. The freshmen sale definitely seemed to be moving more slowly than the sophomore sale did.

no trouble logging on but delays in ticketmaster site made me think I would miss, but everything went smoothly. Hope all were as successful.

I’m glad everyone had success. As I said before Penn State has made some very necessary improvements. We went through some terrible times, now at least the student section will be filled with true student fans.

^^
I think the student section was alwyas filled with true fans :-),

difference now is perhaps the restaurants and bars won’t be filled during the games with non-fans enjoying their scalping profits . Good job PSU!

True, true true!!!

Thanks momwriter and sax for your help. I was able to get the tickets. I was sailing through the process until the final step. I used a Visa card and the Ticketmaster site wanted to divert me to a Visa Verify site to make sure my card was okay. I have never had this happen before. At that point I had 6 minutes to complete the sale. At 3 minutes nothing had yet happened. I went back and used an alternate credit card - an American Express card to avoid the Visa Verify step. I got down to 10 seconds when the sale was confirmed. I was sweating a bit but happy to have it completed. If I had to do it again I would not have used a Visa or Mastercard but used the AMEX to begin with, buy maybe it was something specific to my card. My daughter says all of her friends that are incoming freshman were able to get their tickets, so they are thrilled. Off to summer session!

Looking for advice on how to get tickets after season tickets for students are sold out.
My daughter couldn’t get through for freshman tickets last night. Problem with their website. What is the next best way to get tickets now? Can we buy regular tickets online, and if so, where is the student section located, so we can get tickets in the right area?

thanks.

Students are in NE to NA about. if I read it correctly. Somebody check me, please.

Sons friends were able to buy tx one game at a time pretty easily last year. I would call and inquire about student tx. on Mon. though. Maybe other people had problems too.

this is link to ticket exchange between students… They are still trying to figure out how it will work this year.

How exactly did you not get tickets? The tickets didn’t sell out for like 3 hours. A friend of mine completely forgot until I reminded her at about 11:00 and she still got them…

Tickets will be easier to get for students now they are linked to the student’s ID. At least you won’t be paying 500.00+ more for a set. Wait and see how Penn State controls the re-sale of tickets, I think it will work out.In the past adults were buying up the big games(Notre Dame, Ohio State etc…) and for $25.00 upgrading them for a regular ticket.

I wonder how senior tickets sold out after it was reported that they DID not sell out on the senior ticket sale day?

My son missed getting his freshman section football tickets when they went on sale due to the fact it was the night of his graduation when they went on sale. We see that there are tickets on the psu ticket exchange site. What seat numbers and sections are for students and in particular freshman?

They should indicate “freshmen ticket” etc on them. There are certain sections reserved for each class.

Dear cwryan1,
thanks for replying. Im on the web site that is the direct PSU ticketexchange its just lists the tickets and a price- for example Sec NLU 1 ticket avaiable. My son is on campus right now doing LEAP and he is trying to find someone who might have an answer. Do you have a general idea of whats seats comprise the freshman section? Thanks for any help.

I just checked this myself. What you are looking at is the general public reselling their tickets. The student site to exchange tickets, to my knowledge, is not up online yet.

You can buy tickets from these people but they will not be for the student section.

Dear cwryan,
Thanks so much. You really are amazing. I have been folllowing your posts for over a year now and you always seem to have the most accurate information and are kind enough to share it with others. I will tell my son what you posted and have him keep checking

I think I read that they are going to post information for students by August 4th on the student central site. Check it out.

thanks miche
