Football Tickets arrived in the mail today

Twistedkiss, you’re going to be fine going by yourself as rjkofnovi has said, but I would definitely suggest that you go with a group of friends or your roommate or people in your hall at least so that it’s more fun.

Thanks, everyone! I am hoping I’ll find a group to go with, at the moment I don’t know anyone there so hopefully I’ll make at least one friend to go with by the first game.

Don’t worry. Just be excited for the upcoming year!

Is it true that people don’t really sit in their assigned seats? My roommate has tickets too but I am in section 33 and she is in 32. That’s a shame. :(

Nobody sits where they’re assigned. You’ll have no problems moving.

Clarification - nobody in the student section sits where they’re assigned.

The alumni pretty much sit in their ticketed seats.

Does that mean if I DID want to sit in my seat, I’d have to get there early and fight for it? That seems kind of annoying, but I guess it’d be worth it to be able to sit wherever I want, too.

Just stop worrying. You won’t ever sit in your seat. You’ll move closer.

They obviously changed the system since I graduated (in 1975, gulp!). Tickets used to be in 4 priorties. Each priority could go down to the ticket office on a designated day to get tickets, highest priority on Day One, Second priority on Day Two, etc. Each student received a ticket voucher in the mail with your piority level designated on it. You could form groups having the same priority, collect the vouchers from each participant and go down and get tickets for the entire group, i.e. dorm floor, fraternity, group of friends, etc. That way everyone in your group got seats together.

Of course, we never had a home game before school started.

Now how close you get to the field is determined by your class level, and you can go online and register for seating groups with friends, you’ll get tickets all together and where you all sit is determined by the student with lowest class level, basically (according to my understanding). I didn’t know anyone to join a group with, though.
