I checked out the web site and was a bit confused how this works. Do students apply for tickets? How difficult is it to get them?

Starting Wednesday, August 22 M-F 9am-4:30pm the student can pick up a season football coupon at Dick Howser stadium.

Before each game, there is a schedule posted where either blocks or individuals register online at http://studenttickets.fsu.edu for a place in line to exchange the coupons for tickets.
Often groups coordinate so you can just get a ticket through your dorm floor for example.

thanks. that helps clear it up. sounds like a two step process. is it hard to get tickets?

It does not seem to be difficult because my son is not very organized and yet he has managed to get tickets to the game when he wants them.

its quite easy, only problem is people get lazy at the beginning of the year and forget to get coupon.

Your coupon is basically like money, you go pick up your coupon at the begining, then when the day to register comes up you go online at 7pm and try to get the best number possible, the following monday you wait outside for your number to be called and then exchange it for a real ticket.

sort of like if you went to ticketmaster and put your name on the waiting list. There are about 17k student tickets and the only game that was difficult to get a ticket for was Miami, i had an extra ticket and sold it, so this year i figure the florida game will be a hard one to get.
