Anybody planning on signing up for the lottery for next season's football tickets?

Yes!!! What is the procedure?

There is a lottery that you must sign-up for. I forget when it is, but you should be able to check the date online. They then pick people from the lottery to get tickets. Most freshmen don't know the procedure, so they don't know what to do normally.

You can call in and register beginning April 7th.

I guess that answers that question

How does seating work with the lottery?

You have to go the week of the game to get your ticket and you are assigned a seat then. If you want to sit with other students then you all have to go together or someone can bring all the gator1s and get all the tickets. Seating is just done randomly.

Unless you are part of an organization. There are some groups on campus that are able to collect block seating for the games. One person is able to pickup all the tickets and distribute that way. Other than that, its random. People can't be real picky about the seats since most get a good view anyways.

Bumping up the thread to remind all new Gators to enter the football lottery.

UF Student Season Football Ticket Lottery Registration is open until June 6, 2008! Students must call the G.A.T.O.R.S. phone system to reserve a spot in the lottery.

I forgot. I know, I'm an idiot, anyone know if its still possible to get in the lottery for tickets?

No. You'll be calling in every Thursday before home games now.

Serves me right, I actually had my credit card out and was ready to call 2 weeks ago but then got sidetracked by a phone call. So you can still grab tickets Thursday's before the home games? Is it likely to get tickets that way?

I'm sorry to hear that, it's a tough break, but you'll still have a chance to get into games calling the hotline on thursdays. Sometimes it's hard to get through, and you'll be trying for hours, but other times you'll be lucky and get through quickly. It's hit or miss. You won't be able to (officially ;)) sit with a block, though, I don't think.

Also you'll find that a good amount of ppl would be willing to sell you tickets to home games. Ask around, do some favors, and check facebook marketplace.

Good luck.

I didnt have tickets last year and I got through everytime I called. Sometimes I got through twice. Theres two numbers to use, and I always had good luck with the toll free number better than the local one but I switched back and forth between the two.

The only game you wont be able to get tickets for is the FSU game which isnt a home game so no worry about that.

Hopefully (fingers crossed) I will just win the lottery this year. Only three more days!

Hey kristen,

Do you get notified via email if you have won a ticket?

Thanks,

Ross

Yea, you are emailed

Awesome! thanks

Does anyone have any idea of when lottery winners will be notified?

At Preview we were told sometime on Monday.

S just got an email saying that the lottery results are in. Didn't get them. :(
