Foothill/De Anza question.

Hey guys.

I was wondering if I could take GE classes at De Anza and foothill at the same time.
OR, if I could transfer GE classes from De Anza to foothill and vise versa?

How is this going to affect my chances of transferring to a UC or a CSU?
Is it even possible? LOL.
Thank you.

You could take one class at each of California’s 112 community colleges and admissions wouldn’t care. On your UC/CSU application, it will allow you to enter multiple schools, and all your coursework at each one. I don’t know about “transferring” GE classes between community colleges if you’re getting an Associate’s, but I’m pretty sure you can still get your IGETC certified by one or both of the community colleges even if you took some of the courses somewhere else.

Yes.

Yes.

It won’t.

Yup; a lot of De Anza/Foothill kids do that. :)

It helps because your unit count works at either school so for registration all of your units add up (so if you had 20 units at De Anza and 30 at Foothill, They would recognize it as 50 units at either school when you’re getting your registration date).
