ok, so i emailed housing in a mass of confusion and they replied:

*Pamela,
You will receive your specific building and roommate information later in the summer. Most likely it will be in late July or early August. Thanks

Cal Housing*

...so i don't know how you saw your building, but it would seem that most people cannot until august?

annnnd APPARENTLY i lied and everyone but me knows which building they're in. cool. i swear i had no such link.

hey stuckinthemist, you probably got Hillside. The thing is, they sent that letter for La Loma kids coz of the impedning bridge construction. I think.

Hey, if you really did get Hillside, u wanna trade with me?

but, geez, u sent that agreement pretty fast. I'm pondering whether to take Standard or Premium meal plans. What u do?

Erm, is it possible to be randomly put in the LGBT program if you didn't apply for it at Foothill?

i hope that does not happen to me. LBGT is in La Loma right?

I think so, I happen to be in LaLoma and I'm not interested in the program.

i doubt they'd do that-- i mean what if you're a total homophobe [not saying you are at all, btw. total what if]? pretty sure LBGT wouldn't wanna risk that.

i'm actually really excited for foothill, so that's why i accepted so quickly. that and my mom was paranoid they'd change their minds or something, lol.

i did standard meal plan because i know i'll wanna buy my own breakfast stuff and keep it in my room and such. i really don't eat that much. i'm more of a take-out snacker type.

With no intention of bashing your decision, I am curious what aspects of foothill appealed to you (from a visit)?

haha, because
(1) 3 of my close friends are in foothill with me
(2) i love and always get along well with nerds. my boyfriend is a total nerd, most of my friends are nerds....it just kinda happens that way. apparently i'm a nerd magnet, lol.
(3) i like the idea of going to sleep when it's quiet, studying when it's quiet....sort of having my own little haven. i don't want drunken carrying on, etc. if i feel like partying, i'll go hang out with friends elsewhere.
(4) 2 words: greek theater
(5) i'm a ballerina so working off the freshman 15 by walking home sounds liek a good idea to me
(6) i like the tahoe resortish idea
(7) i like the view
(8) it'll probably be closer to my classes than any of the other dorms i'm currently a development studies major, but i'll be changing to interdisciplinary studies as to visiting, i liked the actual facilities at clark kerr and foothill about equally-- the above reasons tipped hte scales for me. the double i saw seemed fairly nice, so....shrugs i'm not very hard to please, i guess.

annnnd yeah, i think that just about covers it.

I'm in La Loma too. Anyone wanna switch? I like Hillside better.

i just e-mailed the head of undergrad and he said that we won't know if we're in la loma or hillside until August. I am confused because I got a la loma letter.
