For a Biology Major

I assume I'm going to get help this summer by an adviser about what I need to take...but as a B.S. in Biology Major...will I have to take any history/government/economics type classes??? I realllllly hope not lol
If I can get a college class I took for history to count for credit there...I guess it's not a huge deal...but I just don't want to have to worry about it lol
I plan to claim a minor in Spanish for the professions and take all of my electives in mathematics classes because I love math hahaha
I know there's a 1 year english requirement and obvious science requirements and such...but I was wondering if classes like history and such were required...who knows?? haha

This might help: [BS Program](http://www.bio.jhu.edu/Undergrad/BSProgram.aspx)
I believe it says that you need to fulfill all of the requirements for a BA ([JHU Biology BA Program](http://www.bio.jhu.edu/Undergrad/BAProgram.aspx)) and then just take six additional courses/labs?

Under the BA link posted above (in the parenthesis) it says “For the BA Program, 30 credits must be taken in departments outside the N (Natural Science) area in H (Humanities), Q (Quantitative), S (Social Science), or E (Engineering). Eighteen of the 30 credits must be in either H or S areas.” So, you can take 12 credits of math/engineering/science classes, and 18 additional classes can be anywhere in the real of humanities or social science. Some classes are probably geared to the more science-type, but you might have to take some other history classes or whatnot.

OH! I did go to the site hahaha and I couldn’t figure it out from the B.S. program stuff
I think that was partly because I didn’t realize what the N and H and Q stuff meant lmao!
So foreign languages would count for Humanities…meaning I wouldn’t have to take history or the like???
that would be AWESOME hahaha because I plan to minor in Spanish for the Professions lol

^ and I’m definitely not getting a BA…BS for sure :D

And thanks very much! lol I forgot to say that :D

Spanish will prolly let you weasel your way out of most of the W (writing) requirements, too (12 credit hours).

Biology here… good luck to ya, mate, and hope you’re a premed.
