I think we're all a little edgie. I know I am. I won't even let my parents talk about slo around me. I haven't worn my calpoly sweatshirt just because I don't want to jinx anything. Crazy much? Do you know if we will find out 2morrow for sure, of could we find out after the 15th. That would really suck.

^^^ hes right

best of luck you guys! to all of us

Yeah you'll hear tommorow, I really wouldn't worry about that. Whats your major and alternate major?

Kevdo...I think you mean^^^shes right:) Applying to architecture as a girl I thought would be favorable to me. I put construction management as my alt. major. If worse comes to worse, I have been accepted to UCSB, and I put structural eng. as my major at UCD(where I was also accepted). I'm fortunate to have those as my back-up plan.

I applied under biological sciences as my major and biomedical engineering as my alternate.

To the poster above me, how do you know you've already been admitted to Davis? Was it through the ELC?

sorry, she is right

my bad

ahhh the tension!!!

Im probably going to change my major to City and Regional Planning after my first semester.. Also if you want to give yourself a better chance of getting in, you can email the admissions office and put a less desired major as your alternate. Switching majors is not as difficult as they make it out to be.

Yeah elc. I go to a school with about 450 seniors, but fortunately for me, half of them don't care about anything. I have a friend whos going to davidson for lax, a friend who just heard on friday she was accept to stanford, so now its my turn to see. ELC saves me some stress, but I still wanna be a mustang really bad!

no worries kevdo. I'm there too.

I heard that switching majors there was practically impossible though, since they enroll you in classes that are specified for your major, and each class has a specified number of seats? I wouldn't want to change my majors to something less desirable though, it was hard enough picking out the ones that I was sure about. If cal poly doesn't work out, I hope I get admitted to Davis since I did a 6 week summer research program over there.

No its a misconception. my cousin goes there and has had an easy time switching majors. For example to switch into chemistry, all you need is a 2.2 Gpa after 1 quarter and must have completed atleast one beginning CHEM class.

well i'm praying for all you guys and gals!

i think it's best if i just check in the morning, rather than midnight

Well it's the 15th. Gonna be paranoid at school all day, but I know the day has come. I'm gonna try to keep myself away from a computer(especially in yearbook)until I get home. Good Luck to all of you. Who knows, we might be hangin out in slo together in the fall.

Keep spirits high--no matter what happens.

Still nothing, I'm starting to get paranoid @_@.

Applied to Environmental Engineering.

Call the admissions office before 4pm and they will tell you.

got it in the mail. I didn't get in. I have to admit, it hurts...bad.

ahh thats really lame.. Im sorry.. Well atleast theres always regular admission, my cousin was denied early for architecture last year and then was admitted for regular decision, so dont lose hope!

Thanks. I had a friend two years ago with the same situation. It helps knowing that I'm not the only reject.

What is your gpa and sats??

Im in the same boat as most other people on this thread. Today is the 15th and I'm still waiting, havent gotten an email or a letter yet. I applied for kinesiology as my major with bio as my backup. SUPER STRESSED! and it doesnt make it any better that if i get deferred i think my parents will freak out more than me

I still haven't gotten anything yet. The only thing I kind of noticed is that the cal poly website says "Thank you for applying to Cal Poly." When I swear it used to say something about early decision. I'm not sure. For those of you who got rejected from Early Decision, does the website even change in any way?
