Hey guys,
I just ran 2.5 miles in 15 minutes. Is this a good time? What are some of your best times and how did you improve your times. I find the best way to improve my time is to do a endurance run one day (run for maybe 20-30 minutes), then the next day work on sprints. What about you guys?

Yes, that is a good time. Being able to keep a six minute pace will help you greatly at BCT.

i run an 18 minute 5k, which is 3.1 miles... so you're perfect 6 minute miles is what you should aim for.

Yeah that's definitely good (compared to the average person, even the average appointee, I'm sure). I run like low 15's for 5k, mid 25's for 8k (5 miles), and 4:20 for the mile. I'll be on the XC/Track team, so I'm not the norm for incoming people... The best way to get good at endurance running, simply put, is to run a lot. As you move along, gradually increase distance and pace. I find that you can work both endurance and speed in the same run by just doing some windsprints at the end of every run.

yeah that's good, you won't have to run that fast in BCT since it's infinitely more important to stick with your flight/not leave anyone behind, though they make the faster people do satellites (run around the formation while it's moving forward). if you run that fast in formation you'll have some ****ed off classmates trying to keep up lol

As long as you don't get blisters from the boots, I guarantee you won't be challenged in the least by any of the runs. More likely, you'll be frustrated by the slow pace.

Hmm that seems like a good running speed. When I run a 6 minute mile that's it, i gotta walk haha.
