<p>Hello applicants, it's already fall and time's ticking through the application process. I am a competitive swimmer, hoping that this aspect of mine would make me stand up. I randomly posted this thread to just see how fast all the swimmers are, and compare how fast I am from you guys. I would really appreciate it if you write your time (please write the time honestly, anonymity will be kept forever). </p>

<p>If you will, please write your time (either 50m Freestyle, 100m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke, or anything) below, included by your grade and gender (gender doesn't have to be specified if not desired). Thanks!</p>

<p>For example,</p>

<p>50m Freestyle: 29 seconds / 8th / Male</p>

<p>Are you giving your time in Yards instead of Meters? Olympic times are only in the 24’s I believe.</p>

<p>Mine’s for long course (50 meters). I heard all the pools in boarding schools are long courses, am I correct?</p>

<p>JP, you are going to get much more relevant feedback just by e-mailing the swim coaches at the schools that interest you with your times. Our California kids underestimated their swim talent because the local competition here is so fierce. They were pleasantly surprised to find that the coaches were excited to talk to them.</p>

<p>I have only seen 25 yard pools at BS. Many of the BSs in the NE have very competitive swimming programs. As someone else has already posted, send your times to coaches at the schools you are interested in and see what the response is. Good luck.</p>
