<p>So how does the common app fee waiver work? I'm talking about the fee waiver they off in the "Profile" section of the common app that asks if you qualify. My counselor seemed to be a bit confused about it and said that she sent an email out and 'they' have to respond. I'm curious if any of you knows how it actually works. Will willing to answer anybody's questions or chances just go ahead and offer link after you answer. </p>
<p>As far as I know (I got one just this year), you choose an option that you qualify for, and then you simply don’t have to pay the app fee. Your counselor just verifies that you qualify. So if you got a waiver for the SAT, it counts, if you get free/reduced lunch at school, that counts, etc… </p>
