Also why did you choose your current major.

Probably Economics as a double major.

I chose History. Well, it was more like I was interested in a lot of things and felt that History would at least allow me the opportunity to analyze a situation under different lenses… politically, historically, intellectually, artistically… from a literary point of view… from a philosophical point of view… etc. I wanted to do Poli Sci - IR and/or Global Studies and/or IDS closer to my third year. It was just such an annoying process trying to get into PS classes that I decided to opt out. I was very much interested in Comparative Literature as well as English… decided against too much subjectivity for History.

So why Economics? Because… a lot of positions out there want people with a Business-Administration/Economics/Business-Economics/Accounting/Finance background. OK maybe this has just been the luck I’ve been running to. That and I’ve just personally, become more interested in reading economist.com and some other sources and would like a more concrete, ‘hard’ understanding of topics… to understand the recession a bit more deeply or to understand what’s going on on Wall Street. Right so Econ/Accounting.

At this point it doesn’t matter though. . . I have my BA. That’s fine. I’m applying to jobs and I’ve been getting luckier with job opportunities (if anyone who’s reading this is becoming dissuaded from becoming North Campus-y). It’ll work out the end. . . the rest is work experience and graduate studies . . .
