I am excited to have received my letter inviting me to an interview for trustee scholarship. What kind of questions should I expect? Were there any odd questions that caught you off-gaurd? I would greatly appreciate if I could get a detailled response or two telling me what kind of questions to expect.

btw, USC is my #1 at this point, would it be a good idea to conceal that fact or make it well known?

Well known by far.

I did the trustee interviews last year (as a junior in high school). Who interviews you and/or what questions you get depends on what major you're doing (more specifically, what professional school you applied to).

Very true. I'm pre-med, so I had a few questions about being a doctor. They asked me some questions about my application, specifically about my favorite quote. They didn't tell me the quote again, so make sure you remember it. My roommate to emphasizes looking over your application, as she talked a bunch about her essay. You will have interviewers that deal with your major/ethnicity/any other interesting thing on your application. Make sure you know some things about what you are interested in with USC, because they want scholars who will actually go to the college if they get the scholarship, not go off to an Ivy.

Thanks for the look over the app tip cuz I had forgotten my quote. Should be interesting who interviews me as I applied undeclared but wrote about business goals. Also, the only reason I say to maybe not show so much interest is maybe the school will think you will go anyway so why give a scholarship. Guess thats not the mentallity.

Right. USC is almost literally buying students through the scholarships. They really want to raise their GPA and ranking. Since you are being considered, they really want your test scores. Thus, they want you to show interest in the school, so that they aren't wasting a scholarship.

Yeah, I am definitely interested in selling myself for 16k a year

jaspieee- how did you have an interview as a junior?

I applied to SC through the Resident Honors Program (RHP).

What is that exactly?

USC accepts some students after their junior year of high school. That's RHP.
