For applying EA and ED, should I retake my SAT I or take Chem SAT II?

I have full scores in Math II and Physics. And I have CR730, M740, W760 SAT I breakdown scores.

I will be applying to top schools EA/ED, one them is UChicago, which does not not take the Writing score (?). So, that gives a 1470/1600, which looks worse. I will also apply to a top engineering school ED, so I was wondering if not having Chem SAT II would make me a weaker candidate, given that I don't have any international robotics/science Olympiad awards. Or if the "low" Math score would have a more detrimental effect.

I'm an international, so my next exam date is Oct 1, and I don't think I can take both the tests before the deadlines.

Which one should I take?

PS I was considering taking none for some time, but i guess I'm getting more paranoid as deadlines come closer.

chem is not needed for an engineering school (unless u want to be a chemical engineer). if u have math2/physics that should be good enough.

You are fine with math and physics subject tests. Your SAT is fine for most but if applying for MIT or Caltech, your math score is actually lower than average. UChicago does not use the writing section and your score is actually good for it. Note it neither requires nor recommends subject tests but will give them some consideration if provided. Also, UChicago does not put as much importance on test scores that many others do. It considers grades and course difficulty the most important with ECs and essays as important as and even more important than test scores.

so I shouldn’t bother with CB tests any more?

Oh and not applying to MIT/Caltech/Stanford. although I am applying to Cornell, Michigan, Rice, etc.

Check with the schools you are applying to, they might be able to accept a November SAT. I am also applying ED and am taking the SAT 2s in October and the SAT in November.
